Biking Adventures

We just bought a Chariot bike trailer. It's great because we can put Audrey inside and she gets pulled behind a bike. I can go for a long bike ride, and she gets to enjoy the view.

That's what we thought. This is a picture taken right before her first ride...several weeks ago. She's safe and secure, strapped in, wearing her helmet. She looks terrified, doesn't she?

Jake took her on her first and second rides. She cried quite a bit on each. I took her out for an hour last week. She didn't cry till the last 3 minutes, and I think it's because I woke her from her nap. So, we're making progress. I'm guessing that by next spring she'll be excited for a bike ride. It sounds nice to me.

(Sorry the pictures is a little blurry. I didn't have any that were more clear and still showed her funny expression.)

We have the same story. :) Marianne was okay with the chariot for the first few minutes, and then she just wanted to get out and ride up front with us. I figure eventually when she can eat cookies and drink kool-aid that I can stuff those back there with her to keep her happy for at least 10 minutes...so for now, she just gets to cry. (Not that I can take that for very long). We should hook up and go for a ride some day!

YAY you're back, I've so missed keeping up with Audrey. Cute picture and good idea.. I always thought it would be fun to have one of those chariot thingys.

So cute! I can see the fear in her eyes. What a trooper to stick it out, though. We have a bike trailer too that we love. I just forget to use it sometimes :)
